
Tolv skandinaviska artister eller band har nominerats till bästa nordiska album 2010 när Nordic Music Price nu arrangeras för första gången:

· Jónsi Go Do (ISL)
· Efterklang Magic Chairs (DK)
· Serena Maneesh S-M 2: Abyss in B Minor (NO)
· The Radio Dept. Clinging to a scheme (SE)
· Ólöf Arnalds Innundir skinny (ISL)

Bra val, flera mycket bra album. Att de svenska utvalda albumen är bra har nog många svenska musikintressade koll på. The national nomination processes have involved music journalists and industry professionals from each of the five Nordic countries. The leaders of the nomination process in their respective countries were:
Jan Gradvall – Sweden
Audun Vinger – Norway
Arnar Eggert Thoroddsen – Iceland
Ilkka Mattila – Finland
Ralf Christensen – Denmark
The final choice of nominees was made by a joint Nordic nomination Committee, the leaders of each national committee as seen above and one additional journalist from each country.
The 12 nominated albums will be presented for an international jury who in turn will decide the winner of the Nordic Music Prize. The Nordic Music Prize is presented during by:Larm in Oslo the 17th-19th of February 2011.

Rob Young – Author of the new book Electric Eden, former editor of The Wire, now writer for Uncut and The Wire.
Andres Lokko – Scandianavias most influential music writer. Now based in London. Writes for Svenska Dagbladet.
Laurence Bell – Owner of Domino Records
Jeannette Lee – Former member of P.I.L. Owner of Rough Trade Records with Geoff Travis. Manager of Duffy.
Matthew Schnipper – Writer for The Fader.
Mike Pickering – Former Factory Records employee, now A&R at Columbia Records UK.
