Det har bara gått några månader sedan Coldplay släppte sitt senaste album, Ghost Stories. Nu avslöjar Christ Martin i en intervju med Zane Lowe på BBC Radio 1 att bandet redan har gått in i studion för att spela in sitt sjunde album. Titeln är redan bestämd: A Head Full of Dreams. I intervjun jämför han albumet med den sista Harry Potter-boken. Han ser det även som ”sista kapitlet”, vad det nu kommer att innebära.
“We’re right in the middle of it,” säger Chris Martin. “It’s our seventh thing and the way we look at it is like the last Harry Potter book or something like that… Not to say that there might not be another thing one day, but this is the completion of something and it was great to go from Ghost Stories to go right back in the studio. Now we’re making thing that sounds different and it’s a very fun time to be in our band. I have to think of it as the final thing we’re doing or else we wouldn’t put everything into it.”
Efter att albumet är klart planerar de även att åka ut på en turné, vilket de inte gjorde efter Ghost Stories. Lyssna på intervjun här nedan:
