Ett av de nyare italienska banden gör en miniturné i Skandivien. Bandet “Drink To Me” har av musiktidningen Rolling Stone fått berömmet: One of the best italian bands.
Här lite info om bandet, från dess pressavdelning:
Drink To Me are from Torino, Italy, and have been active since 2002. They’ve released 4 DIY EPs, and released their official debut Don’t Panic, Go Organic in 2008 on Midfinger Records. DPGO was recorded in London, and mixed by Andy Savours (Blonde Redhead, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Killers, The Horrors ++).
They’ve since toured all over Italy, recently celebrating their 100th concert as support for Editors in Turin. Their latest album, Brazil, was released in 2010, following their signing to one of Italy’s premier independent labels – UNHIP Records. Alessio Natalizia (Banjo or Freakout, Disco Drive) produced most of the tracks on the album, and also co-wrote a couple of them.
The new album marks a change in both their sound and songwriting, putting the rock matrix in the background, and letting the electronic side take over with kraut-minimalist repetition and a rhythm section that takes from Brazil as well as West Africa.
