Suggestiv brutalitet. I sina mest brutala stunder \u00e4r det bra sammanfattningar av deras stundom karga, stundom noir-doftande musik. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>&#8221;It\u2019s too fucking early,\u201d s\u00e4ger Jehnny Beth en bit in i spelningen. Postpunkbandet fr\u00e5n London, som inleder \u00e5rets program inne p\u00e5 Slottsskogen, f\u00f6rtj\u00e4nar egentligen en helt annan speltid. Varf\u00f6r inte avsluta kv\u00e4llen p\u00e5 samma scen n\u00e4r m\u00f6rkret lagt sig \u00f6ver festivalomr\u00e5det? Det hade varit en ultimat inramning. Men m\u00e5nga har tagit sig till scenen och \u2014 givetvis \u2014 bjuder de in till en rasande spelning med pulserande basg\u00e5ngar och massor med energi.<\/p>\n<p>De androgyna bandmedlemmarna \u00e4r helt kl\u00e4dda i fashionabelt svart och Jehnny Beth, den karismatiska frontfiguren, r\u00f6r sig som om hon vore i trans p\u00e5 scen. De inleder aggressivt med <em>Strife<\/em> och <em>City\u2019s Full<\/em> fr\u00e5n 2013 \u00e5rs debutalbum.\u00a0<em>Silence Yourself<\/em>\u00a0tillh\u00f6r fortfarande de senaste \u00e5rens starkaste postpunk-influerade album. Spelningen p\u00e5 Way Out West minskar knappast f\u00f6rv\u00e4ntningarna p\u00e5 deras kommande andragiv.\u00a0Det finns genomg\u00e5ende ett budskap &#8212; eller kanske snarare en k\u00e4nsla av politiskt f\u00f6rtryck &#8212; och\u00a0de kanaliserar och h\u00e4mtar kraft ur den ilskan f\u00f6r att h\u00e5lla energin uppe och g\u00e5 p\u00e5 knock-out i l\u00e5t efter l\u00e5t.\u00a0N\u00e4r Jehnny Beth sjunger textraden &#8221;love is the answer&#8221; i en av de nya l\u00e5tarna k\u00e4nns det allt annat \u00e4n k\u00e4rleksfullt, men du rycks definitivt med.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Savages, Linn\u00e9t\u00e4ltet 13 augusti 2015 Betyg: 3 Avgrundsvr\u00e5l, frammanade ur en m\u00f6rk dimma.
