P\u00e5 scenen r\u00f6r hon sig lika sj\u00e4lvklart som sina f\u00f6rebilder, och n\u00e4r hon efter en energisk\u00a0\u00f6ppning tv\u00e5 l\u00e5tar in i konserten sl\u00e4nger av sig sin huva k\u00e4nns det som att hon \u00e4r p\u00e5 v\u00e4g att\u00a0vrida upp tempot ytterligare ett par steg. Den tjugotre\u00e5riga debutanten tar sina relativt enkla postpunkinfluenser och g\u00f6r n\u00e5got som k\u00e4nns b\u00e5de gammalt och nytt. Du h\u00f6r ekot fr\u00e5n s\u00e5v\u00e4l Siouxsie and the Banshees\u00a0som Joy Division, samtidigt l\u00e5ter hon tvekl\u00f6st som sig sj\u00e4lv. Ljudbilden pendlar mellan olika nyanser av gr\u00e5tt, men det finns st\u00e4ndigt en underliggande nerv, n\u00e5got vitalt som manar upp till s\u00e5v\u00e4l\u00a0kamp som dans.<\/p>\n<p>Spelningen tar dock en abrupt v\u00e4ndning n\u00e4r det efter en halvtimme b\u00f6rjar \u00f6sregna och majoriteten av\u00a0publiken springer iv\u00e4g f\u00f6r att k\u00f6pa ponchos, k\u00e4nslan\u00a0\u00e4r att n\u00e5gon trycker p\u00e5 stoppknappen och det tar ett tag f\u00f6r henne att arbeta sig in i moodet igen, men det tar sig, inte minst n\u00e4r det nedtonade\u00a0introt till en enast\u00e5ende\u00a0<em>Conquer or Suffer<\/em>\u00a0byggs upp och n\u00e5r studioversionens driv. I avslutande <em>Haters Don&#8217;t Dance<\/em> samplar hon d\u00e4refter\u00a0&#8212; passande nog &#8212; \u00e5skljud. \u00c4ven om regnet st\u00f6r blir det ocks\u00e5 en passande kuliss f\u00f6r hennes gotiska musik.
