Det l\u00e5ter \u00e4nd\u00e5 fortfarande omissk\u00e4nneligt som Warpaint, men de tar \u00e4nnu ett steg in i det ok\u00e4nda. In i atmosf\u00e4rerna och texturerna. Det g\u00e5r att dra paralleller till f\u00f6rebilderna i The Cure som 1980 f\u00f6ljde upp sitt debutalbum<em> Three Imaginary Boys<\/em> med mer atmosf\u00e4riska <em>Seventeen Seconds<\/em>. Warpaint har genomg\u00e5tt en liknande utveckling; ist\u00e4llet f\u00f6r att g\u00f6ra ett album som ska locka en st\u00f6rre publik l\u00e5ta atmosf\u00e4rerna \u2014 och den dr\u00f6mska produktionen \u2014 st\u00e5 i fokus g\u00e4r att det blir mer subtilt och f\u00f6rf\u00f6riskt&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Ovanst\u00e5ende text \u00e4r h\u00e4mtad ur\u00a0min recension av Warpaints\u00a0andra full\u00e4ngdsalbum, som sl\u00e4pptes tidigare i \u00e5r. N\u00e4r Los Angeles-kvartetten\u00a0p\u00e5 sj\u00e4lvaste\u00a0Fourth of July, i gassande solsken intar Roskildefestalens Avalon-t\u00e4lt st\u00e5r det dock snabbt klart att det inte r\u00f6r sig om\u00a0en fullt s\u00e5\u00a0tillbakalutad spelning som man kanske hade kunnat f\u00f6rv\u00e4nta sig. Som scendekor har de enkelt, men snyggt bara\u00a0omslaget fr\u00e5n deras\u00a0senaste\u00a0album.<\/p>\n<p>Om deras nya album just kan k\u00e4nnas aningen passivt s\u00e5 \u00e4r det en expressiv\u00a0liveupplevelse vi bjuds p\u00e5. Interaktionen de fyra medlemmarna emellan, i kombination med deras hypnotiska sound, b\u00e5dar f\u00f6r en f\u00e4ngslande konsert.
