Den Brooklyn-baserade singer\/songwritern Matthew Houck fick med sitt fem personer starka band st\u00e5 f\u00f6r \u00e5rets dos av sk\u00e4ggig folkrock. Festivalens v\u00e4rsta regn och tidig speltid till trots lyckas Phosphorescent \u00e4nd\u00e5 bjuda p\u00e5 en finst\u00e4md timme i Slottsskogen. I takt med att bes\u00f6karna droppar in v\u00e4xer den inledningsvis s\u00e5 glesa publiken till en faktiskt r\u00e4tt imponerande folkmassa d\u00e4r de flesta sedan st\u00e5r som klistrade spelningen ut.<\/p>\n<p>I bagaget har Matthew Houck, som sedan b\u00f6rjan av 2000-talet hunnit sl\u00e4ppa ett flertal album med lite olika stilar,\u00a0sitt senaste opus\u00a0<em>Muchacho<\/em>; lite snyggare producerad och inneh\u00e5llandes mer elektroniska inslag gavs den ut tidigare i \u00e5r och d\u00e4rifr\u00e5n plockas spelningens f\u00f6rsta l\u00e5tar\u00a0<em>Terror in the Canyons (The Wounded Master)<\/em> f\u00f6ljt av <em>The Quotidian Beasts<\/em> och <em>Down to Go. <\/em>Det hj\u00e4rtsk\u00e4rande vemodet sveper sig \u00f6ver Slottsskogen och det skulle inte f\u00f6rv\u00e5na mig om bandet faktiskt kommit direkt fr\u00e5n barstolen.<\/p>\n<p>Efter den meditativa succ\u00e9singeln <em>Song for Zula<\/em>, d\u00e5 regnet \u00e5ter b\u00f6rjat \u00f6sa ner, blir det lite mer \u00f6sigt\u00a0med\u00a0<em>Ride On\/Right On<\/em> och <em>Nothing Was Stolen (Love Me Foolishly)<\/em> innan tempot dras ned i Neil Young-osande <em>Wolves<\/em>, men h\u00f6jdpunkten \u00e4r avslutande <em>Los Angeles,<\/em> fr\u00e5n 2010 \u00e5rs <em>Here&#8217;s to Taking it Easy,<\/em> som mynnar ut i ett slags crescendo\u00a0d\u00e4r Houcks samtliga fem medmusiker verkligen f\u00e5r dra sitt str\u00e5 till den monstru\u00f6st v\u00e4xande och detaljrika ljudbilden.
