Deras halvt dr\u00f6mska kammarpop, som ofta hamnar n\u00e5gonstans i gr\u00e4nslandet mellan New Orders 80-tal och jazzens lite friare utsv\u00e4ngningar, har hyllats konsekvent av kritiker v\u00e4rlden \u00f6ver.\u00a0Den amerikanska musiksajten Pitchfork valde till exempel ut <em>Kaputt<\/em> till 2011 \u00e5rs n\u00e4st b\u00e4sta album.<\/p>\n<p>Tillsammans med sitt sju man starka band intog Dan Bejar under fredagskv\u00e4llen ett halvfullt Hornstull Strand i Stockholm f\u00f6r \u00e5rets andra av tre spelningar p\u00e5 svensk mark.\u00a0Inte illa med tanke p\u00e5 att Swedish House Mafia och Graveyard fyllde ut Friends Arena respektive Debaser Medis samma kv\u00e4ll, fast knappast samma folkstorm som n\u00e4r de spelade p\u00e5 Stay Out West ett \u00e5r tidigare.<\/p>\n<p>Mellan l\u00e5tarna b\u00f6jer han sig ner &#8211; Dan Bejar &#8211; mannen med den svajiga r\u00f6sten och det rufsiga h\u00e5ret. Det \u00e4r sv\u00e5rt att veta om det \u00e4r f\u00f6r att undvika publikens ovationer eller om han helt enkelt vill surpla i sig sina Pripps Bl\u00e5. Trots texternas beskrivande natur bj\u00f6ds det inte p\u00e5 n\u00e5got mellansnack, d\u00e4remot beh\u00f6vde han inget texth\u00e4fte f\u00f6r att minnas sina egna texter den h\u00e4r g\u00e5ngen.<\/p>\n<p>Destroyer har ett konsekvent grepp om vad de vill \u00e5stadkomma musikaliskt. B\u00e5da trumpeten och saxofonen manipuleras med effekter, resultatet \u00e4r n\u00e4stan surrealistiskt dr\u00f6mskt.
