Teknologiska under (och pengar fr\u00e5n bandets festivalspelningar) har gjort det m\u00f6jligt f\u00f6r honom att sjunga och spela in samtliga instrument i sin hemmastudio i Perth. Resultatet k\u00e4nns \u00f6verraskande fr\u00e4scht samtidigt som ljudbilden till viss del fortfarande g\u00e5r att k\u00e4nna igen fr\u00e5n\u00a0<em>Innerspeaker<\/em>.\u00a0Precis som omslaget vilket f\u00f6rest\u00e4ller ett st\u00e4ngsel mellan dig och en salig tr\u00e4dg\u00e5rd k\u00e4nns <em>Lonerism<\/em>\u00a0som en lustg\u00e5rd vi aldrig riktigt kan tr\u00e4da in i &#8211; \u00e4n mindre f\u00e5 grepp om. Men den \u00e4r f\u00f6rv\u00e5nansv\u00e4rt enkel att uppskatta.<\/p>\n<p>Om debuten var tillbakadragen men progressiv m\u00e4rks det redan i \u00f6ppningsl\u00e5ten <em>Be Above It<\/em> att <em>Lonerism<\/em> \u00e4r ett mer direkt verk.\u00a0En av de b\u00e4sta l\u00e5tarna p\u00e5 skivan \u00e4r <em>Why Won&#8217;t They Talk to Me<\/em> d\u00e4r de multidimensionella ljudv\u00e5gorna studsar runt \u00f6ver hela rummet\u00a0innan drivande trummor b\u00e4r fram Parkers John Lennon-liknande r\u00f6st. Gitarrerna \u00e4r som regel fullkomligt dr\u00e4nkta i phaser-pedaler och tankarna f\u00f6rs ofr\u00e5nkomligt till The Beatles mest trippiga period. Men bakom det psykdeliska finns en k\u00e4nsla f\u00f6r perfekta popl\u00e5tar d\u00e4r h\u00f6jdpunkten \u00e4r <em>Elephant<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Tame Impalas nostalgiska futurism blickar tillbaka mot en tid d\u00e5 rock&#8217;n&#8217;roll fortfarande var fram\u00e5tstr\u00e4vande.
