N\u00e4r hennes senaste skiva <em>Visions<\/em> utn\u00e4mndes till &#8221;best new music&#8221; av <a href=\"http:\/\/pitchfork.com\/reviews\/albums\/16211-grimes-visions\/\">Pitchfork<\/a> innebar det i princip k\u00e4ndisskap \u00f6ver en natt. \u00c5tminstone inom de &#8221;r\u00e4tta&#8221; kretsarna. S\u00e5 den stora fr\u00e5gan p\u00e5 alla som tagit sig till ett sluts\u00e5lt K\u00e4gelbanans l\u00e4ppar var huruvida hennes hemsnickrade Garage Band-alster \u00e4ven skulle g\u00f6ra sig v\u00e4l i livesammanhang.<\/p>\n<p>S\u00e5 fort den Montreal-baserade s\u00e5ngerskan med det blekta, m\u00f6gelf\u00e4rgade h\u00e5ret klev p\u00e5 scenen m\u00f6ttes hon av ovationer v\u00e4rdiga den osannolika sensation hon kommit att bli. M\u00f6jligtvis n\u00e5got blygt st\u00e4llde hon sig ensam bakom ett hav av synthar och trummaskiner f\u00f6r att framf\u00f6ra sin elektroniska dr\u00f6mpop som pr\u00e4glas av f\u00f6rinspelningar s\u00e5v\u00e4l som loopade synthar och hennes lika flickaktiga som reverbdr\u00e4nkta falsetto. Precis som i fallet med Elizabeth Fraser fr\u00e5n Cocteau Twins, vilka upplevde sin storhetstid innan Boucher ens var f\u00f6dd, \u00e4r det n\u00e4stintill om\u00f6jligt att urskilja exakt vad den 23-\u00e5rige kanadensaren sjunger.<\/p>\n<p>Efter en statisk inledning tog det fart i <em>Be a Body<\/em>, vilken spelades som tredje l\u00e5t. Inte minst gick publiken ig\u00e5ng p\u00e5 efterf\u00f6ljande <em>Oblivion<\/em> och <em>Genesis<\/em>.
