Pulp har meddelatatt deras nya album More, det f\u00f6rsta p\u00e5 n\u00e4stan 24 \u00e5r fr\u00e5n bandet, sl\u00e4pps den 6 juni 2025. Albumet \u00e4r producerat av James Ford (Arctic Monkeys, Fontaines D.C.) och f\u00f6rsta singeln Spike Island \u00e4r ute nu. <\/p>\n
Id\u00e9n till Spike Islands l\u00e5ttext fick Pulps frontman Jarvis Cocker fr\u00e5n Jason Buckle (Relaxed Muscle), som skrev l\u00e5ten tillsammans med Cocker. Buckle var p\u00e5 Stone Roses \u00f6k\u00e4nda Spike Island-konsert d\u00e4r en dj vr\u00e5lade \u201cSpike Island, come alive!\u201d under hela dagen, vilket drev bes\u00f6karna till vansinne. Detta minne fastnade hos Cocker, som inspirerades till att skriva l\u00e5ten trots att han inte sj\u00e4lv var p\u00e5 spelningen. <\/p>\n
Jarvis Cocker ber\u00e4ttar om det kommande albumet More: How did that happen?<\/strong><\/p>\n – Well: when we started touring again in 2023, we practiced a new song called ’Hymn of the North’ during soundchecks & eventually played it at the end of our second night at Sheffield Arena. This seemed to open the floodgates: we came up with the rest of the songs on this album during the first half of 2024. A couple are revivals of ideas from last century. The music for one song was written by Richard Hawley. The music for another was written by Jason Buckle. The Eno family sing backing vocals on a song. There are string arrangements written by Richard Jones & played by the Elysian Collective. \nThe album was recorded over 3 weeks by James Ford in Walthamstow, London, starting on November 18th, 2024. This is the shortest amount of time a Pulp album has ever taken to record. It was obviously ready to happen.

\n We hope you enjoy the music. It was written & performed by four human beings from the North of England, aided & abetted by five other human beings from various locations in the British Isles. No A.I. was involved during the process.
