P\u00e5 torsdagskv\u00e4llen stod \u00e5rets mest legendariska band, alla kategorier, p\u00e5 den st\u00f6rsta scenen p\u00e5 Sweden Rock Festival, men p\u00e5 fredagskv\u00e4llen \u00f6kades insatserna flera sn\u00e4pp.<br>P\u00e5 &#8221;rocken&#8221; i \u00e5r s\u00e5 finns det ett band som g\u00e5r utanp\u00e5 alla de andra n\u00e4r det kommer till att ha s\u00e5v\u00e4l legendstatus som bibeh\u00e5llen kvalitet i alla moment. Det finns l\u00e5tar man h\u00f6r direkt vilket band som \u00e4r upphovet och det finns s\u00e5ngare som har s\u00e5 personlig r\u00f6st att det inte g\u00e5r att ta miste p\u00e5 vem som sjunger. Dickinson \u00e4r en s\u00e5dan och Iron Maidens l\u00e5tar \u00e4r v\u00e4ldigt igenk\u00e4nnbara n\u00e4r man h\u00f6r dem. Inledande &#8221;Caugt somewhere in time&#8221; \u00e4r exakt en s\u00e5dan l\u00e5t. Det \u00e4r modigt att g\u00f6ra festivalspelningar med den infallsvinkeln. En stor andel av festivalbes\u00f6karna \u00e4r inte d\u00e4r i f\u00f6rsta hand f\u00f6r att h\u00f6ra l\u00e5tar uppgr\u00e4vda ur g\u00f6mmorna, utan de vill h\u00f6ra l\u00e5tarna de festade till n\u00e4r de var unga. Att d\u00e5 inte f\u00e5 h\u00f6ra &#8221;Run to the hills&#8221; eller &#8221;Number of the beast&#8221; kanske blir en besvikelse. Huvudfokus f\u00f6r l\u00e5tlistan p\u00e5 \u00e5rets spelning handlar om tv\u00e5 plattor. &#8221;Somewhere in time&#8221; fr\u00e5n 1986 och senaste plattan &#8221;Senjutsu&#8221; fr\u00e5n 2021. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Det \u00e4r kanske dags att g\u00e5 hem och lyssna p\u00e5 andra plattor \u00e4n de d\u00e4r som v\u00e4lte pojkrum p\u00e5 \u00e5ttiotalet, dags att inse att Iron Maiden \u00e4nnu i v\u00e5r tid producerar ny bra musik och att andra album \u00e4n de mest s\u00e5lda, \u00e4r minst lika bra.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"412\" src=\"https:\/\/kulturbloggen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/IMG_7589-02.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-167970\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kulturbloggen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/IMG_7589-02.jpeg 650w, https:\/\/kulturbloggen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/IMG_7589-02-300x190.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Foto: Maria Laakso \u00c5man<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Men \u00e4ven nostalgikerna torde vara hyggligt n\u00f6jda. Inte minst med att vi fick h\u00f6ra l\u00e5ten &#8221;Iron Maiden&#8221; som inledde karri\u00e4ren 1980 (f\u00f6r \u00f6vrigt \u00e5ret d\u00e5 jag f\u00f6r f\u00f6rsta g\u00e5ngen s\u00e5g Iron Maiden live, som f\u00f6rband till Kiss i Scandinavium G\u00f6teborg). Dessutom lirade de faktiskt &#8221;The Trooper&#8221; s\u00e5 \u00e4r helt lottl\u00f6sa p\u00e5 klassiska pojkrumsv\u00e4ltare blev inte festivalpubliken. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>N\u00e5gra reflektioner jag gjorde var att det inte k\u00e4ndes lika tr\u00e5ngt som det gjorde senast Maiden var p\u00e5 Sweden Rock. Eller ja, framme runt scenen och n\u00e4ra inp\u00e5 var det oerh\u00f6rt mycket folk, men f\u00f6rra g\u00e5ngen var det sm\u00e4ckat med folk l\u00e5ngt upp p\u00e5 f\u00e4ltet och d\u00e4r k\u00e4ndes det mer glest ig\u00e5r kv\u00e4ll. Kanske hade \u00e5rets setlist trots allt avskr\u00e4ckt en del festivalbes\u00f6kare, som hellre stannade p\u00e5 campingen och lyssnade p\u00e5 &#8221;Run to the hills&#8221; p\u00e5 repeat?
