London-bandet Formation har sl\u00e4ppt musikvideon till deras nya singel \u201cA Friend\u201d och det kommande debutalbumet sl\u00e4pps den 24 mars. \u201cA Friend\u201d \u00e4r en d\u00e5raktig popl\u00e5t, lite som ett psykadeliskt Killers, minus showbiz-glittret som ist\u00e4llet har ersatts med billigt kaffe och cigaretter.<\/p>\n

R\u00e4kna med att Formation \u00e4r ett band som kommer att vara p\u00e5 m\u00e5ngas l\u00e4ppar i v\u00e5r.<\/p>\n

Frontmannen Will Ritson kommenterar: \u201c\u2018A Friend\u2019 kicks off with pummelling immediacy; lyrics that read like age-old maxims are spat out, while bleeps and ticks of percussion misdirect you. It\u2019s all ducking and weaving, building and growing\u2026Snapshot moments of space allow you seconds of relief before the song dives into its anthemic resolution. \u201cAnd when I\u2019m alone you are my only friend,\u201d it screams, hitting you right where it matters most…\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is reflected perfectly in the music video, directed by Davis Silas, where the drama of the music is taken to visual extremes. It becomes a twisted, violent dance that transcends the line between lover and enemy, protagonist and belligerent. The narrative is as passionate and relentless, choosing to reference key lyrics at the right moment. All contained on a rolling tube carriage, but who knows where it\u2019s going?\u201d<\/p>\n
