Thomas opera har svenska tr\u00e5dar \u2013 Ofelias roll skrevs f\u00f6r storstj\u00e4rnan Christina Nilsson. Hon ombads f\u00f6resl\u00e5 en nordisk folkvisa att l\u00e4gga in i fj\u00e4rde aktens stora vansinnesscen. Det blev N\u00e4ckens polska, som f\u00f6r alltid p\u00e5minner operapublik v\u00e4rlden \u00f6ver om vem rollen skrevs f\u00f6r. Ett pressmeddelande ber\u00e4ttar:<\/p>\n<p>P\u00e5 G\u00f6teborgsOperan delar Ida Falk Winland och Ditte H\u00f8jgaard Andersen p\u00e5 Ofelias roll. Hamlet g\u00f6rs av den holl\u00e4ndske barytonen Thomas Oliemans, som hade stora framg\u00e5ngar hos oss f\u00f6rra s\u00e4songen, som greve Almaviva i Figaros br\u00f6llop. Drottning Gertrud delas av mezzo-sopranerna Katarina Karn\u00e9us och Ann-Kristin Jones.<\/p>\n<p>Regisserar g\u00f6r Stephen Langridge (konstn\u00e4rlig ledare f\u00f6r Opera\/ drama). I sin tolkning fokuserar han p\u00e5 familjerelationer s\u00e5 komplexa att de skulle kunna driva vem som helst till vansinne. Men h\u00e4r lurar ocks\u00e5 politisk manipulation. Men inf\u00f6r Englandspremi\u00e4ren p\u00e5 Covent Garden skrev Thomas ett nytt, Shakespearianskt slut d\u00e4r Hamlet beg\u00e5r sj\u00e4lvmord. Vi spelar b\u00e5da sluten.
