Datum 10-14 augusti.
Här finns programmet, som pdf.
Här ett pressmeddelande om detta:
The festival sets up a special stage – “Roskildescenen” – in the Swedish capital. The stage presents some of the biggest talents from the Danish music scene along with some solid Swedish acts. All production is made as environmentally-friendly as possible.
Good news for all Swedes who did not get to visit Roskilde Festival this year and who want to be among the first to discover the new big thing. From Tuesday 10 August to Saturday 14 August, Roskilde Festival presents a selection of the best acts from the Danish music scene spiced up with a couple of solid Swedish acts. It happens on “Roskildescenen” in the heart of good old Stockholm, more specifically on Skeppsbron, and admission is completely free of charge.
”This is a great chance for Danish bands to establish themselves on a music market as difficult as the Swedish because it has so many solid acts of its own. At the same time, it’s a great platform for us to get exposure and dialogue with the Swedish audience,” explains Roskilde Festival’s managing director Henrik Rasmussen.
Like at Roskilde Festival, the programme offers a broad range of genres, from hard rock to electronic music – and a wide selection of Danish talents such as Oh No Ono, I Got You On Tape, Figurines and When Saints Go Machine. The latter opened Orange Stage at this year’s Roskilde Festival. The stage also presents Swedish acts Asha Ali, Den Svenska Björnstammen, Rickard Jäverling, Lorentz & M. Sakarias, Palpitation and Style of Eye. In total, 29 acts are scheduled to play on ”Roskildescenen”, which is a part of Stockholms Kulturfestival.
Eco-friendly music stage
Roskilde Festival brings a selection of its green initiatives to Stockholms Kulturfestival – to inspire the audience and other organizers.
”We also want to show how far we’ve come with regards to sustainability and a green focus in which Denmark and Roskilde Festival are leading,” says Henrik Rasmussen.
The whole music production is planned with as little environmental impact as possible, and a full CO2 accounting is made for the production. In the area you can see the effects of the efforts – for instance, transportation of bands and equipment is secured using busses instead of air flight, all stage lighting is implemented using energy-saving LED lamps, and catering is served with locally produced food.
Power is 100 % produced by means of alternative energy sources (water and wind), and all local transportation is carried out by means of electric cars.
Furthermore, CO2 quotas are purchased corresponding to the calculated total CO2 emission from the music production.
”Roskildescenen” is a collaboration between Roskilde Festival, Music Export Denmark (MXD), ROSA – The Danish Rock Council and The Danish Arts Agency – and it is carried out in close collaboration with Stockholms Kulturfestival.
